(Sagem Communications), the global leader* in advanced fax solutions for IP networks (www.sagem-interstar.com), has appointed Bob Wood as Vice President of Sales, Americas to spearhead and expand efforts for promoting ROI stimulus initiatives into enterprise Unified Communications (UC) and converged IP infrastructures within the United States, Canada, Caribbean-Latin America (CALA), and central/south American markets.
Prior to joining Sagem-Interstar, Wood worked four years as Sales Vice President, North America at Captaris Inc., a leading provider of software products automating document-centric business processes, which was acquired in October 2008 by Open Text Corporation.
At Captaris, Wood was responsible for overseeing North American field operations, resellers, strategic partners, national accounts and Federal sales. Having successfully rebuilt most of Captaris’ sales operations in the United States and Canada, Wood was recognized as “Manager of the Year” for three consecutive years. Prior to that, Wood served as Vice President, North America for 10 years at MediaTel (division of Captaris), a global SaaS information and e-document solutions provider to Fortune 1000 corporations.
Wood is a graduate of the 1999 EEP, Management Program at Harvard University Graduate School of Business. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University in 1982, with a major in Marketing and a minor in Statistics.
